Troubleshooting Your Marking Machine for Accurate Engraving Within the Red Box

In discussions regarding CNC machines, the majority of service inquiries we handle pertain primarily to software and IT issues. It is uncommon for us to encounter problems that necessitate the replacement of an electrical component within the machine.

One issue we encounter is that the machine fails to mark or engrave within the designated marking area, referred to as the Red Box.

Here is a comprehensive step-by-step guide to resolving this issue independently, eliminating the need to wait for assistance from a service technician.

  • Start by opening the EZCad software.

    ree

  • After the software has launched and loaded, please press the F3 key on your keyboard or select the parameter button located at the bottom of your screen.

    ree

  • Clicking this button will open a new pop-up window on your screen. The pop-up contains multiple tabs for configuring your software parameters. For this specific issue, please select the other button.

  • This action will display an additional sub-screen featuring a button on the right-hand side (REDLIGHT POINTER).

    ree

  • Two options will now appear on your screen: Offset Pos X and Offset Pos Y.

ree

  • The Parameter Offset Pos X controls horizontal movements (Left and Right), while the Parameter Offset Pos Y manages vertical movements (Up and Down).

  • To reposition the Red Box to the right and upward, the values will be set in a positive configuration (+).

ree

  • To shift the Red Box to the left and downward, use negative values (-) in the configuration.

    ree

  • These parameters necessitate a degree of trial and error to correctly align the designated marking area, or Red Box, with the engraving.
